Essentials: Two Products for Maintaining an Organized Wardrobe.

I do my best to resist buying lots of product, but there are some essentials that make maintaining an organized space achievable.

Most people have boxes and bins of various sizes in their homes that can be used in drawers or on shelves, but most don’t have decent hangers, drawer dividers or turntables just lying around.

And you can’t find these things used because once people have them they never want to let them go.

Here is my go to list of helpful products available on Amazon (As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases). I hope this saves you from aimlessly wandering the internet or the aisles of a mega store.

  1. Non-Slip Space Saving Hangers

If you go through the effort of pulling out and rehanging all your clothes, the last thing you want is for your clothes to slip off onto the floor, or for hangars end up in a tangled mess. Velvet flocked hangars secure even the silkiest spaghetti straps. I like the ones with the bottoms so pants can be hung as well.

Donate your old hangars to your community, or any thrift store. What if you already invested in high-end wooden hangars and have plenty of space? Add these non-slip velvet strips.

2. Drawer Dividers

I’ve seen too many people spend hours perfecting the perfect Kondo fold and admiring their beautiful t-shirt drawer that lasts a week. The stacks of clothes love to slide left and right and squish together. These sturdy Oxo drawer dividers allow you to create a channel in your drawer. Adjust them to just the right size for your neat stacks of folded clothes and keep them in line as you use up a row, or yank open the drawer in a rush.

Don’t get turned off that they say they are for “tots.” They work for grownups too. Just make sure to check that depth of your drawers is 17” or less.
